Maintenance by Trust:-
The Management of this Trust have left no stone unturned to properly look after the properties of the Tirth. The Trust since its inception has got the encroachments vacated through Courts & Otherwise. This is Trust is among a very few Hindu shrines in Kashmir which is well maintained, properly looked after even during the dark days of purmoil. New facilities are added every now and then to make the Tirth attractive to the Pilgrims who visit it arrangement for their free stay are made entirely by the management of the Trust & free Langer is served to the Pilgrims round the year. Free medical aid and given to the needy and poor sections of the society, besides help is also given monetarily for the marriage of poor girls and widows/destitute of the community. About 15 rooms have been constructed to accommodate the members of the community for long durations on nominal rent.
Since ancient times Holy Amaranth Yatra use to stand from this Tirth with the first Puja of Charri Mubarakh on Asad Purnima. While proceeding from Srinagar to Holy Amaranth Cave. The yatra procession used to stay for two nights at Martand Trust.
During this time all arrangements for the confects of yatris are made by the Trust even after the calculation of the yatra, the same arrangements remain in place. |
